Good Sign-Bad Sign
On my way to
Puffy cotton clouds in the sky
Feeling dreamy as I drive
Witness swarming vultures
Circling
In the smoggy stratosphere
Floating Red Cellophane
Beautiful Trash
Whipped up through the under flow
Spinning wheels that agitate the litter
Lightning swiping by the blow
Little girl standing by the roadside
Tear in eye and rolling down her dirty cheek
Greasy Locks…Flip Flops
Soy lent dress of green
Following her line of sight…I spy
A beautiful fluffy cat
Twisted mangled in its splat
So sad I saw it
In a flash
As I continued with the ride
On and on and on I drive
I chase the sun into the night
Stars twinkle in twilight
3 perching crows-six light poles, in a row
Just to turn around and go back again
And there he is; The Transient
The Lonely guy…With his head hungover solo
I swear his neck is broke
Hate filled fans mock his stand by throwing things
French fries and swarming fly’s gather at his feet
Locked in thought he never sees the shock of maggots’ reality
I gaze and peer into my beer and wonder where he goes
With his roller suit case flight bag he drags from that dangling limb in tow
Turn around the dusty town-again I hit the road
Bats flutter eating moths in pink and yellow haze
A giant owl, leads the way
In a ray, of my headlights beaming glow
Into the darkness I did drive
I drove I drove I drove
With eyes piercing
I push the envelope
Pedal burning through the floor and foot
Reaching out of body
Past the windshield
My spirit sails
Pushing onward through the blind and blacked out night
Right Past the premonitions
Now striving to arrive
To touch my destination
I only have…
One Goal
On the way home from
